Muizenberg Guide

8th June 2016 by Ross Munro Williams

Boasting one of the most sought after surfing spots in Africa as well as some of the most trendy restaurants in Cape Town, Muizenberg is fast becoming the go-to destination for many a local Capetonian and traveler alike.

With it’s enormous beach, extremely popular surfing corner for both ‘groms’ and experienced alike, surfing training for beginners and a variety of shops, Muizenberg is a hive of activity throughout the year rivalling Camps Bay as a destination.

Outside of the beach, Muizenberg offers a host of small shops, restaurants, delicatessens, an Olive Factory, various historical buildings and museums such as the Rhodes Cottage Museum, live music venues and backpackers filled with young trendy travellers who thrive in the unique Muizenberg culture.

Whale viewing is also a must during the Spring months on top of Boyes Drive.
